Elder Care
Support Group

OUR MISSION: To provide help, education, information, support and respite care for the caregivers of the elderly.

We will strive to provide HELP for those taking care of elderly family member(s) by establishing a network of available community professionals and sites that can help meet those needs.

We will strive to provide EDUCATION and INFORMATION about the special medical, legal, social, and personal needs of the elderly and their caregivers.

We will strive to provide a SUPPORT network for the caregivers of those special elderly family members by having informal, but informative monthly meetings.

We will strive to provide RESPITE care for those caregivers and their families by providing a children's nursery and elder companion room for some of the monthly meetings.

WHEN WE MEET: We meet in the fellowship hall of St. Giles Presbyterian Church every month, on the fourth Thursday, from 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Childcare and Elder Companions are provided for the meetings which feature Guest Speakers. There will be no meeting in November or December.

A calendar of guest speakers and topics for 2008 will be available shortly.
